After a spiritual awakening several years ago, my relationship with God has become the most important one in my life.
I welcome projects and work that have a basis in faith or deal with topics of Christianity and living a spiritual life.
This includes things like redemption stories, miracles, supernatural interventions, near-death experiences, worship music, spiritual community, navigating suffering or poverty while maintaining faith, and general appreciation of God’s creations.
This could also look like working with other Christians or for Christian orgs.
Note: I do not currently affiliate with a particular sect of Christianity or a specific church.

I am interested in efforts to reduce and reverse climate change, implement sustainable practices, and hold corporations accountable for their pollution of the earth.
This includes both the macro and the micro stories, including fun topics like how individuals and communities are changing their gardening practices and creating natural pools and wildlife areas locally.
It would also include topics like:
Hydroponics & aquaponics
Composting
Glass recycling
Water purification
Solutions for dealing with invasive species
Reforestation
Reduction of pesticides and plastics
This category does not include greenwashing marketing campaigns or B-corps whose main product offering does not align with their stated mission.

I am passionate about making more of life’s wonders accessible to all people regardless of their ability level (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual).
This includes not only what people traditionally think of as disabilities, but also invisible and chronic illnesses, which seem to have have increased in frequency and severity since the COVID-19 pandemic.
I approach illness and disability from a grounded place that is based in the spiritual realm but that also acknowledges the sociopolitical realities of the time we exist in.
I have also been seriously ill myself, which has given me a unique understanding of suffering and shame and how ongoing sickness can factor into someone’s relationship with God.

I have fallen in love with the city and greatly enjoy anything Chicago. That includes the cultures in all 77 community areas, the unique identity Chicago has as a city, the many programs here, the park system. You name it, I’d love to talk about it.

Who I like to work with
Nonprofits & Not-For-Profits
I understand what a whirlwind it has been for nonprofit orgs over the past 2 years, with reduced support from the government and reduced funding from previously reliable donors.
Whether you have a one-off project you need to outsource or a need for a small-but-steady number of hours per week from a freelancer, let me know.
I am open to helping a very wide variety of nonprofits meet their goals and have worked with the big (Make-A-Wish) and the small (1-3 person orgs in Chicago).
Small Businesses & Startups
I love working with smaller organizations to help make their vision a reality and take marketing tasks off their plate so they can focus on scaling and decision making.
Whether you are starting something brand new, trying out a new strategy, or a seeking to grow even further than you already have, I would love to help you.
I have a soft spot for food and beverage spots, local grocers and hardware stores, refill shops, and businesses that partner with nonprofits in the community.
Entrepreneurs
Are you an entrepreneur or solopreneur starting something new, but don’t have enough hours in the day to accomplish everything you want to?
Are you ready to scale up your business, or are you flooded with excess work with no one to take it on?
I can provide support and an extra set of eyes and hands through virtual assistant and admin work, basic marketing and PR strategy, content creation, or another blend of skills that we decide on together.
Faith Organizations
As a person of Christian faith, I would enjoy partnering with organizations founded on a basis of a strong sense of spirituality.
This could include church activities, programs, drives, affiliated organizations and nonprofits, hospitals or senior living centers with a faith backing, etc.
This would also include working with business owners and nonprofit leaders of faith or supporting you in your faith-based projects outside of traditional work hours.
Farmers & Horticulturists
I believe ethical, sustainable agriculture is the foundation of a healthy society.
Whether you’re located outside of Chicago, running an urban farm on public or private property, or cultivating microgreens in your kitchen, I’d love to learn more about your business or programming.
I’m always interested in fueling the community with nutritious foods and clean, freely available drinking water.
Community Builders
Everyday people with a presence in their local neighborhood are often the ones making the biggest difference in humans’ daily lives.
Do you have a new program or event you’d like to start in your community? Do you need a short-term contractor to bridge the gap someone else left behind?
Reach out and let me know more about what’s going on in your neighborhood.
Advocates & Educators
I believe advocates and educators can come in many forms, not just teachers or full-time activists.
The topics I care about often intersect with social justice issues or topics that most people need to unlearn and be retaught through a lens of compassion for others’ lived experiences.
I am open to partnering on projects or events pertaining to a wide range of human and animal rights issues.
Spiritual Visionaries
Are you a deep thinker with an understanding of spirit (Holy Spirit) and the universe (God)?
Do you see innovative solutions that will play out well 5, 20, or 50 years from now, but are having trouble garnering support and investment for them now?
I would love to hear your ideas and help you in the planning stage to bring those ideas to life and see if we can add short-term wins to increase people’s faith.
